Free Currency Trading Tips

It is still a bit intimidating to put your money in the market with the potential to lose it all. I hope these tips should help you out.
- Use Your Demo: Most trading platforms will come with a thing called a demo account. It’s just a way of saying it is a “for fun” way to trade. You get to make trades, while following actual market information, but you’re just not using any money. It is the easiest way to learn how to trade and develop strategies without having to risk any of your money. Take the time to use this tool. Trade hundreds of times until you’re confident enough you can do well with your own money.
- Avoid Tiny Margins: Basically when you’re starting out, you want to make smaller trades, since there is less risk. The problem with these small trades is that you have tiny margins. As you should be aware, brokers aren’t in this business for fun, they’re here to make money. They’re going to take a cut and this comes from the difference in the bid and ask price. When you’re making small trades, this difference in the bid and ask price takes up a significant percentage of the total transaction. This can give you distorted look at your trading skills because your good trades make less and your bad trades cost you more. Try to make small trades, but ones that are large enough that your margins aren’t getting lost.
- Exits Are More Important: You’ll often see a currency and think to yourself, “that’s a good buy”. Well, you shouldn’t be concerned about how much something costs. This isn’t a game of bargains, because you’re selling the money. The exit (or sell price) is far more important.
