My mother saves everything! Shoe boxes are kept just in case she needs to store something in them. The gift wrap is carefully taken off and then ironed (yes, ironed) in case it can be used again. Her closets are full of clothes that no longer fit and she has to keep building bookshelves to store all the books and other items that she won’t throw away – even though they are no longer of use.
